5 a-side Cup Competition
FOUR TEAMS BOOK THEIR PLACE IN THE NEXT ROUND
This week saw four return fixtures from the 1st Round of the 5 a-side cup competition in which all ended with the pre match favourites winning. Kalkara St Joseph defeated Mosta Horseshoe Bar 3-2 in the clash of the round to claim a place in the quarter final stages with a 7-3 aggregate score. They will now face Floriana Ajax B who eliminated St Pauls Diamonds 7-3 on aggregate. The other know quarter final will be between two 1st division clubs, that of Marsa St Michaels who knocked out Cospicua Rangers and Bormla Bocci Club who knocked out Birkirkara Juventus Vero Amore.

MARSA ST MICHAELS PAIR BOOK PLACE IN THE NEXT STAGE
John Ciantar and Paul Sammut of Marsa St Michaels booked their place in the second phase of the competition. In their deciding matches John Ciantar defeated team mate Brian Abela 3-2 and Paul Sammut defeated Stephen Spiteri of Bormla Bocci Club 3-0.
Six places are still up for grabs with the next tournament taking on Wednesday 17th February at Zejtun Domus.
